188 cation was mailed to owners of said property and owners within 200 feet <br />of the exterior boundaries of said property, giving over ten days notice of <br />the time and place set for said hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, a full hearing upon said application and any objections thereto <br />has been had by said Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, said MR. and MRS. A. V. WRIGHT have filed with said Planning <br />Commission, a diagram of the area to be subdivided; and <br />WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did approve said application at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 11th day of December, 1945, and did <br />recommend that the. City Council of this City take affirmative action on <br />said Application. <br />THEREFORE be it resolved that this City Council accept the recommen- <br />dation of said Planning Commission and approve the resubdivision of said lot <br />as set forth in said application and diagram. <br />Passed and adopted at a regular meeting thereof by the City Council of <br />the City,of Redwood City on the 7th day of January, 1946, by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />Resolution: <br />Councilmen: ANDERSON, ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, MCNULTY, <br />and HILTON. <br />NOES, and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W. Recommending the approval of the name "Green Park" for the resub- <br />division of Lot 9 of Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery Subdivision through <br />which Green Bros. have extended Johnson Street between Roosevelt and Vera <br />Avenues. City Attorney McCarthy advised that the Council approved the sub- <br />division of the lots some time ago but that no name had been applied to the <br />subdivision. The City Engineer asked to have one assigned and the sub- <br />dividers suggested Green Park after one of the owners. Councilman Anderson <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the recommendation of the Plan- <br />ning Commission to'approve the name of "Green Park" for the requbdivision of <br />Lot 9, Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery Subdivision be sustained. .Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />f City Attorney McCarthy advised that the Planning Commission was going <br />to give further consideration as to whether the City and County might agree <br />H <br />j in regard to business on Woodside Road as far as Union Avenue and also to <br />discuss possibility of allowing greenhouses on Valota Road. The general <br />consensus of the Council was opposed to greenhouses on Balota Road on the <br />grounds that it was a detriment to property in that district. <br />j Councilman Granger expressed the opinion that when ordinances are passed which <br />are to -the advantage of individuals, the ipdividuale,shouldrpay the cost of <br />Cli. <br />D <br />J <br />a <br />
