190 <br />Councilman Anderson offered resolution and moved its adoption approving dia- <br />gram of assessment under Resolution of Intention 1945-2 and designating=, <br />the official newspaper to publish notice of filing of street assessment <br />for work done thereon. The motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty <br />and on roll call resolution passed unanimously. The notice designates <br />the first meeting in February as the time for hearing of any protests. <br />RESOLUTION No. 261 <br />` RESULUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT UNDER RESOLUTION OF <br />INTENTION No. 1945-2, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER FOR PUBLICATION <br />OF NOTICE OF FILING ASSESSMENT AND THE TIME FIXED FOR HEARING THEREON. <br />RESOLVED by'the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of assessment under Resolu- <br />tion of Intention No. 1945-2, passes and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City on the 5th day of March, 19452 as said diagram has <br />been prepared by CHARLES E. RANDLETT, Acting City Engineer df said City <br />ofoRedwoodrCity, and submitted this 7th day of January, 1946, be and the <br />same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment for the work de- <br />scribed in said Resolution of Intention No. 1945-2. which Resolution of <br />Intention No.'1945-2 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the <br />41 ty of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a de- <br />scription of the work herein referred to; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, <br />a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of <br />Redwood City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in <br />which to publish the "Notice of riling Street Assissment and of Time <br />Fixed for Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Inten- <br />tion No. 1945-2 of said Council hereinabove referred to. <br />Passed and adopted by,the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of January, 1946 by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen: ANDERSON, ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRNAGER, <br />MCNULTY, and HILTON. <br />NOES: Councilmen: NONE. <br />ABSENT: Oounoilmen: None <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised he had talked with William R. Staates in regard <br />to the bond market and was advised by one of their representatives, a Mr. <br />Hodge, that the bond market is in a more favorable condition now than <br />ever before. He recommended that it would be advisable to give consid- <br />eration to selling the first block of bonds now and if the money was not <br />needed immediately to invest it in government bonds. Mr. Hodge had pre- <br />sented a diagram of the bond market showing the rate of interest. Coun- <br />oilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that a copy of <br />the diagram be furnished to the Council and the matter placed on the <br />`A. <br />
