HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution and moved its adoption adjourning <br />meeting out of respect to memory of Judge Maxwell McNutt, Judge in <br />the Superior Court of San Mateo County. <br />RESOLUTION No. 263 <br />WHEREAS the Honorable Maxwell McNutt has been called from an active <br />and illustrious career as a judge of our Superior Court, and by his <br />untimely death the State of California and this community have lost the <br />public services of an outstanding judicial officer; <br />RESOLVED that this Council of the Oity of Redwood City does hereby <br />deplore the.loss sustained by the people in the death of Judge McNutt; <br />that we record here an appreciation of the great benefits which the <br />people of this county have had through the activities of Judge McNutt <br />in presiding with such conspicuous ability over one of the departments <br />of our Superior Court for twelve years and that we attest his sterling <br />Independent character, his exceptional ability, and his wisdom in the <br />administration of justice. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council adjourn out of respect for the <br />memory of said Maxwell McNutt and that copies of the Resolution, duly <br />attested by the Clerk of this City be forwarded to his widow and his <br />son. <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held <br />on the 7th day of Januarys 19462 by the following vote: <br />AYES and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />Councilmen: ANDERSON, ARMSTRON, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, <br />McNULTY and HILTON. <br />NOES and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S.
