Anderson, C. C.' <br />Armstrong, Carl Britechgi, E. A. Fletcher, Floyd D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, <br />Mayor W. W. Hilton and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were: City <br />(� ? Manager E. W. Blom, City Attorney Paul A. McCarthy, Building Inspector <br />'la <br />L. M. Duncan, Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, Police Chief 0. L. Collins, City <br />f <br />Collector N. L. Miramontes, Street Superintendent H. L. Winter. <br />Approval of minutes of previous meeting were approved as mailed on motion of <br />{ <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />i Application for dance permit was recieved from Yvonne Schlichtmann for dances <br />to be conducted Wednesdays, January 26th and February 2nd, until 12:00 <br />midnight. Councilman Gletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that <br />i <br />permit be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Application for dance permit was recieved from Court Madrone No. 158, F. of A., <br />for dances to be conducted Saturdays, January 26th and February 2nd, until <br />l12:00 midnight. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, <br />that permit be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Communication was rceived from Mr. and Mrs. Frank C Fabry expressing appreciation <br />of the Council's action in adjourning its last meeting in respect to the <br />S' <br />memory of their son, Charles H. Fabry. Communication was ordered filed. <br />ICommunication was received from Mr. Ralph A. Benson, president of the Redwood City <br />Ministerial Association, requesting that the Cross be lighted at the Easter <br />v Bowl during Holy Week. Discussion of this communication was held over until <br />a later in the meeting. <br />E Communication was received from the Land Development Company regarding request <br />for permission to cross Chestnut Street and Bay Road with a drill track. <br />City Manager Blom advised that Mr. Ludwig Werder had requested that action <br />�,. be deferred in this matter ugtil the first meeting in February. He stated <br />he would like to have an opportunity to discuss the matter with the Council <br />5 <br />or with a committee of the Council before that time in order to go intoFthe <br />matter in detail. The Mayor announced that he would appoint a committee to <br />4 <br />meet with Mr. Werder. <br />Application for restaurant license was received from D. Joe Lane to conduct a <br />S restaurant at 2015 El Camino Real. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded <br />by Councilman Anderson, that permit be grantedsubject to approval of the <br />health authorities. Motion passed unanimously. <br />4 <br />Communication was received from Clara B. Dills, County Librarian, asking for <br />1.i. loading zone at the County Library. Councilman Anderson moved, seconded <br />by Councilman McNulty, that the communication be referred to the Traffic <br />Study Committee. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Report was received from the Hospital Committee signed by Mrs. Henry Beeger as <br />chairman, recommending that the City Council officially sponsor the creation <br />' of a hospital district to serve the needs of the vicinity.
