Motion passed un -
j I anirpously.
i
City Manager Blom.advised that there had been some discussion at the joint meet-
!' ing.of the Port Commission and City Council in regard to the Yacht Harbo*
facilities but that no definite decision had been reached. He said he
believed the Port Commission would submit a definite decision and asked that it
y be carried on the agenda. The matter was carried on the agenda.
i Application was received from A. H. Davies to remodel garage building on E1
i
j' Camino Real near Vera Avenue. The remodeling calls for removal of twenty-
five per cent of the present building and replacing it with construction
that meets with the requirements of the building code. The reason for the
application being brought before the Council was to take action on whether
remodeling the front of the building would create any more fire hazard.
In the opinion of City Manager Blom the remodeling was to be a vast im-
provement over the present construction. Councilman Britschgi moved, second-
ed by Councilman Fletcher, that the permit be granted subject to the recom-
mendation of the Building Inspector. Motion passed unanimously:
A re.port from the making traffic survey for the Martin Tr-
t e consuanng araey Transpor-
tation
._
tation Bus Company was placed on the agenda for the next meeting.
Mr. H. H. Weiner appeared before the Council and stated that in regard to the
request for cancelling certain delinquencies against lots in the Lenolt
Subdivision he was not asking for a cancellation of city taxes but was ask-
ing for the cancellation of street bonds. He said that he had had an
agreement with the late City Manager Dimmitt that if he turned in sewer
bonds to clear the title on certain lots the city would, in turn, cancel
the street bonds and asked that the city carry out this agreement. He said
this agreement had been discussed by the late City Attorney Mansfield and
Attorney Morrissey. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman
Fletcher, that the matter be referred to the City Manager to make whatever
k, r. investigation is necessary and a report be had at the next meeting. Motion
! passed unanimously.
231
