232 - r ' <br />Y <br />Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, filing of the af- <br />fidavit of publication of the taxicab ordinance. Motion passed unanimously, <br />t. <br />Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, adoption of taxicab <br />7. <br />i14 <br />ordinance. On roll call,, ordinance was unanimously adopted with Council- <br />44 <br />man Anderson absent, <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, filing of affidavit <br />of publication of ordinance granting easement across Chestnut Street near <br />1 <br />Bay Road to the Land Development Company for the purpose of building a spur <br />! <br />track. Motion passed unanimously. <br />�I <br />City Manager Blom reported that in checking with the Southern Pacific Company the <br />I, <br />minimum width that the State Railroad Commission required for a spur track <br />was twenty feet and that the Southern Pacific was required to maintain the <br />area of;.the track and between the rails and on two feet on either side. No <br />structure would be permitted on Bay Road except the rails. In view of this, <br />i <br />r <br />an easement twenty feet in width had been stated in the ordinance. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, adoption of <br />' ordinance granting easement across Chestnut Street near Bay Road to the Land <br />a' <br />Development Company for the purpose of building a spur track. On roll call <br />I <br />the ordinance was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />a' <br />Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, filing of affidavit of <br />ordinance rescinding Ordinance No. 482. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, adoption of ordi- <br />nance rescinding Ordinance 482, thereby reinstating the period of temporary <br />1 i <br />employment to ntnetyliTdays rather than 180 days. On roll call ordinance <br />was unanimously -adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />j.l <br />Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, filing of affidavits <br />of City Clerk Dodge of posting notice of resolution confirming assessment <br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1945-3, of Louise White of mailing notices, <br />and of publication of notice in the Redwood City Tribune. Motion passed <br />unanimously, <br />I <br />This was the time for hearing of protests under Resolution of Intention No. 1945-3. <br />There were no written <br />. protests. Councilman Granger asked if two bills which <br />were up for payment had anything to do with the passage of this resolution, <br />i <br />City Manager Blom replied that the two bills in question were for work done <br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1945-2 and was for repair work which was <br />I• <br />not properly assessable to property, Councilman McNulty offered adoption <br />of resolution confirming assessment under Resolution of Intention No. 1945-3, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger, On roll call, resolution was unanimously <br />I <br />adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />R E S 0 L U T ION No. 271 <br />l <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING STREET ASSESSMENT No. 1945-3. <br />j <br />WHEREAS, the assessment, for sidewalks and other street work done under <br />that certain contract dated June 4th, 1945, by and between M. WEBER, first <br />party, and H. L. WINTER, as Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood <br />City, second party, for the doing of all sidewalks and other street work <br />mentioned and described in Resolution of Intention No. 1945-3, passed and <br />adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 16th day of April, <br />1945, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City, to which <br />Resolution <br />of Intention reference is hereby made of a description of said <br />_�A' <br />A <br />�11 <br />A <br />
