M._ work, was filed in the office of the Clerk, of the City of Redwood City on the lot day of February, 1946; and WHEREAS, said City Clerk didithereupon fix Monday, the 18th day of February, 1946, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the meeting place of the Council of the City of Redwood City in the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in the City of Redwood City as the time and place for a hearing on said assessment, as required by law, and as the time and place for making written objections thereto', as provided for in Ordinance No. 333 of said City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, Notice of Filing of said assessment and of the time fixed for i' hearing thereon was duly given by posting publishing and mailing, as re- quired by law, as appears from the affidavits of RALPH S. DODGE, LOUISE WHITE, and MAXINE SNYDER, now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of RedwoddtCity;=and WHEREAS, at the time and place last herein mentioned, NO objections of any kind were made against said assessment; and WHEREAS, said Council of the City of Redwood City has now acquired I' jurisdiction thereon; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, in the County of San Mateo, State of California, that the assessment above men- tioned for sidewalks and other street work done under Resolution of Intention No. 1945-3 hereinbefore referred to herein, be, and the same is hereby ap- proved and adopted and the superintendent of Streets of said City of Redwood City is hereby directed to attach a warrant thereto and deliver same to the contractor, as required by law. k1J}Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of February, 1946, by the fol- lowing vote: AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolu- tion: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, McNULTY and HILTON. HILTON Mayor of the City of Redwood City Councilman McNulty offered resolution reinstating original speeial qualificationss for firemen and police patrolmen under the personnel system. The motion was seconded by Councilman Armstrong. Under the question, Councilman Granger asked if any of the employees now on the payroll would be affected by this resolution. City Manager Blom advised that the resolution changed only the maximum age for employees in the above mentioned positions and could not be retroactive but would apply in future examinations. On roll call, the resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. R E S-0 L U T -I O N No. 272 REINSTATING ORIGINAL SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIREMEN AND POLICE PATROLMEN UNDER THE PERSONNEL SYSTEM OF THIS OITY.
