M._ <br />work, was filed in the office of the Clerk, of the City of Redwood City on <br />the lot day of February, 1946; and <br />WHEREAS, said City Clerk didithereupon fix Monday, the 18th day of <br />February, 1946, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the meeting <br />place of the Council of the City of Redwood City in the Council Chamber in <br />the City Hall on Middlefield Road in the City of Redwood City as the time <br />and place for a hearing on said assessment, as required by law, and as the <br />time and place for making written objections thereto', as provided for in <br />Ordinance No. 333 of said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Notice of Filing of said assessment and of the time fixed for <br />i' hearing thereon was duly given by posting publishing and mailing, as re- <br />quired by law, as appears from the affidavits of RALPH S. DODGE, LOUISE <br />WHITE, and MAXINE SNYDER, now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City <br />of RedwoddtCity;=and <br />WHEREAS, at the time and place last herein mentioned, NO objections of <br />any kind were made against said assessment; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council of the City of Redwood City has now acquired <br />I' <br />jurisdiction thereon; <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, in <br />the County of San Mateo, State of California, that the assessment above men- <br />tioned for sidewalks and other street work done under Resolution of Intention <br />No. 1945-3 hereinbefore referred to herein, be, and the same is hereby ap- <br />proved and adopted and the superintendent of Streets of said City of Redwood <br />City is hereby directed to attach a warrant thereto and deliver same to the <br />contractor, as required by law. <br />k1J}Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of February, 1946, by the fol- <br />lowing vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolu- <br />tion: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, McNULTY and <br />HILTON. <br />NOES, and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: ANDERSON <br />tow <br />W. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution this 18th day of February, <br />1946. <br />• W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman McNulty offered resolution reinstating original speeial qualificationss <br />for firemen and police patrolmen under the personnel system. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Armstrong. Under the question, Councilman Granger <br />asked if any of the employees now on the payroll would be affected by this <br />resolution. City Manager Blom advised that the resolution changed only the <br />maximum age for employees in the above mentioned positions and could not be <br />retroactive but would apply in future examinations. On roll call, the <br />resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />R E S-0 L U T -I O N No. 272 <br />REINSTATING ORIGINAL SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIREMEN AND POLICE <br />PATROLMEN UNDER THE PERSONNEL SYSTEM OF THIS OITY. <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the special <br />qualifications for firemen and police patrolmen as stated in the List of <br />Class Titlex of the plan for classification of positions within the Person - <br />233 <br />
