OR <br />I <br />informally approved the letter to be signed by the San Francisco Bank. <br />`�- Councilman McNulty offered resolution approving diagram of assessment under Reso- <br />lution of Intention No. 1945-4. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and on roll call was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson <br />and Fletcher absent. <br />14 <br />RESOLUTION No. 274 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT UNDER RESOLUTION OF <br />INTENTION 1945-4, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER FOR PUBLICATION OF <br />NOTIOE OF FILING ASSESSMENT AND TIME FIXED FOR HEARING THEREON. <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of assessment under Resolu- <br />tion bf Intention Nq: 1945-4, passed and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City on the 16th day of April, 1945, as said diagram has <br />been prepared by CHARLES E. RANDLETT, Acting City Engineer of said City <br />of Redwood City, and submitted this 18th day of February 1946, be and <br />the same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment for the work <br />described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1945-4, which Resolution <br />of Intention No. 1945-4, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the <br />City of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a de- <br />scription of the work herein referred to; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the said City Council, that*the Redwood <br />City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said <br />City of Redwood City be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper <br />in which to publish the "Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time <br />Piked for Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Inten- <br />tion No. 1945-4 of said Council hereinabove referred to. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of February, 1946, by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES, Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER,?McNULTY, HILTON <br />NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: ANDERSON, FLETCHER <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />The request made by the Luxor Cab Company earlier in the meeting was considered. <br />It was understood that this request for a telephone across the street from <br />the Greyhound Bus Station was not to be considered a stand. Councilman <br />McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the permit be granted. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilmen Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that the proper <br />administrative officials be authorized to sign contract between Greene <br />Bros. and the City. Motion passed unanimously, <br />City Attorney McCarthy reported that_it would be possible for the city to ac- <br />quire lots in the thirty acre recreational area in a contract to be entered <br />into between the City Council and the Board of Supervisors, said lots having <br />been sold by the State. He believed it would be possible to acquire seventy <br />lots for approximately $10 each in Blocks 37, 38, 41, 42, Central Park No.2. <br />
