<br />6. Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 4th day of March,
<br />1946, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers of'said
<br />City, in the City Hall of said City, are hereby fixed as the time and
<br />place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show
<br />cause, if any they have, why this City Council should not find and deter-
<br />mine that public convenience and necessity require the improvementsrde-
<br />scribed and referred to in this resolution without further compliance
<br />with the provisions of Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
<br />State of California.
<br />7. The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolu-
<br />tion by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the
<br />'Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published and circulate in, -said
<br />City, and by posting the same on or near the Council Chamber door of said
<br />Council, said posting and publication to be had at least ten days before
<br />said date of hearing.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a
<br />regular'meeting thereof held on the 18th day of February, 1946, by the
<br />following vote:

<br />Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that the City
<br />Manager be authorized to sign contract with Clair Silliman for permit to
<br />erect smokehouse and providing that the smokehouse will be removed if in

<br />and that it intends to order the following work to be done and improvements
<br />to be made in and for said City, to -wit:
<br />1. The improvement of Beech Street from the Northeasterly line°sof E1 Cam-
<br />ino Real to the Southwesterly line of Dain Street and from the 'Northeast-
<br />erly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the Southwester-
<br />ly line of Stambaugh Street, for the full width thereof between curbs by
<br />�.
<br />scarifying the surface, reshaping the surface, supplying new base material
<br />and placing aone-half (*) inch armor coat of asphaltum thereon, and in -
<br />'i
<br />stalling certain incidental drainage structures.
<br />2. All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the
<br />{
<br />places and in the particular locations of the forms, sizes dimensions and
<br />materials and'to the lines and grades and the elevations as to be shown

<br />and delineated upon plans, profiles and specifications to be made therefor
<br />}
<br />and adopted by this City Council.
<br />3. The cost of said work and improvementsr.shall be assessed against
<br />property abutting the portions of said street where said work and improve-
<br />ments are to be constructed, proportionate to the front footage of such

<br />property thereon.

<br />4. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid
<br />assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed five per cent
<br />;i
<br />(5%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to Article 1, Section 3 and Sec-
<br />tion 3 and Section 5 of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, commonly known as
<br />designated as "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March

<br />14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature

<br />nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding October
<br />fifteenth following their date.
<br />5. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance of bonds,
<br />all of the above proposed work shall be done in pursuance of the pro-
<br />visions of Article 1 of said Redwood City Improvement Procedure Code.
