DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing resolution this 4th day of <br />March, 1946, 1. <br />W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman McNulty offered the above resolution appointing elective officials <br />and fixing polling places and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />Councilman Granger asked in what order the Charter amendments would be <br />placed on the ballot. City Attorney McCarthy advised that they would be <br />placed on the ballot in the order in which they came before the Council. <br />Bids were opened for official advertising. There was only one bid received, <br />that of the Redwood City Tribune. The bid follows: <br />Price per "square"; First insertion: $1.00. Second and subsequent inser- <br />tions: 50¢ per square per insertion. Twenty copies on newsprint paper <br />of any ordinance or other official advertising and two copies of each <br />ordinance imprinted on paper furnished by the city for the records of the <br />city clerk and city attorney are to be furnished withour additional charge. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that the bid <br />of the Redwood City Tribune be accepted for the period of March 1, 1946 <br />to February 28, 1947. Motion passed unanimously. <br />In regard to the adoption of the final map of the David Holder Poplar Subdivis- <br />ion, City Clerk Dodge read letter received from the San Mateo County Title <br />Company certifying that David holder and Clara L. Holder are the only par- <br />ties at the present time who have a recorded interest in Lots 54 and 55, <br />Map of the Reese Subdivision of a part of the Redwood Farm, excepting from <br />said Lot 54 so much thereof as had previously been conveyed to the City and <br />County of San Francisco. The title company ,further advised that all city <br />and county taxes have been paid. Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Armstrong, that the letter from the title company be filed. <br />Motion passes unanimously. <br />Inasmuch as a letter from the bank had not been recived, Councilman Armstrong <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that the matter of adopting the <br />final map of Poplar Subdivision be held over until the adjourned meeting of <br />March 11. Motion passed unaimously. <br />Acting City Engineer Randlett reported on the matter of proposed street improve- <br />ments on Center, Park, Linden, Madrone, Cypress and Hess Road.
