HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood Oity <br />I <br />City Attorney McCarthy presented a resolution authorizing a quit claim deed to <br />Hugh McClean and wife to Lot 12, Block 9, Range C, Mezesville, except for <br />any lien under the 1911 Improvement Act. City Attorney MCCarthy explained <br />that Mr. McClean purchased this lot from the county and that the ordinary <br />release from the:City Tax Collector is not sufficient. Councilman Anderson <br />moved adoption of resolution authorizing quit claim deed to Hugh McClean <br />WE i to Lot 12, Block 9, Range C, Mezesville, except any lien under the 1911 <br />Improvement Act and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the <br />i. deed. -The motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty. On roll call, <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />R E S 0 L U T ION NO. 283 <br />AUTHORIZING QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO HUGH <br />MCLEAN and MARGARET B. MCLEAN, HIS WIFE, AS JOINT TENANTS. <br />WHEREAS, RALPH C. MacARTHUR, as Tax Collector of San Mateo County, <br />State of California, heretofore sold the parcel of real property herein- <br />after described to 14UGH McLEAN and MARGARET B. McLEAN, his wife, as <br />Joint Tenants, and the City of Redwood City has received full satisfac- <br />tion of'any lien for taxes or assessments thereon; <br />I <br />r-1 <br />RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that said <br />Council does hereby authorize the execution of a quit claim deed from <br />said City to said Hugh McLean and Margaret B. Mc Lean, his wife of all <br />interest of said City in said real property hereinafter described, ex- <br />cept any claim or lien under the Improvement Act of 1911,•and directs <br />the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute such deed for and on behalf of <br />said City. <br />The property referred to is situated in the City of Redwood City, <br />State of California, and particularly described as follows: <br />Lot 12 in Block'9, Range 0, as shown on that certain map <br />entitled "Town of Mezesville", recorded in the office of <br />the County Recorder of San Mateo County, State of Calif- <br />ornia on August 1, 1856 in Book 1 of Maps at page 79. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held <br />on the 4th day of March, 1946, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />Councilmen: ANDERSON, ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, FLETCHER, <br />McNULTY and HILTON <br />NOES, and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W.
