258 <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised that in 1940 the.late City Attorney Mansfield <br />obtained a decree quieting title to Lot 16, Block 8, Lenolt. Mr. H. H. <br />Weiner has redeemed the lot but the title company requires a release from <br />the city because the city holds the decree. Councilman Anderson moved, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, adoption of resolution authorizing a quit <br />claim deed to Lot 16, Block 8, Lenolt. On roll call, resolution was unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 284 <br />AUTHORIZING A DEED FROM THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO HARRY H. WIENER - <br />OF PROPERTY REDEEMED FROM TAX DELINQUENCY. <br />WHEREAS the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY prior to the year 1940, acquired the <br />title to the real property hereinafter described for delinquent taxes and <br />assessments and thereafter obtained from the Superior Court of the State <br />of California in and for the County of San Mateo` ,• a decree establishing the <br />title of said City to said property in an action in said Court No. 31 1162 <br />thereafter, to -wit, -on April 26, 1943. said property was redeemed by Harry <br />H. Wiener from said tax delinquencies and the sum of Fifty Two and 28/100 <br />($52.28) Dollars was then paid to this City and a certificate of redemption <br />was issued to said Harry H. Wiener and a deed is required to consummate <br />said certificate of redemption; <br />RESOLVED, that the City of Redwood City convey to Harry H. Wiener all <br />the right, title and interest of said City in and to the Real property here- <br />inafter described, subject to the delivery and cancellation of Bond No. 103 <br />of Series J 11 for a sewer assessment, and that the Mayor and City Clerk of <br />this City be, and they are hereby authorized to execute a deed in accord- <br />ance herewith for and on behalf of said City. <br />The property herein referred to is situated in the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California and particularly described as follows: <br />Lot 16 in Block 8 as shown on that certain map entitled "Lenolt Redwood <br />City-- Oalifornia" filed in the office of the County Recorder of San <br />Mateo County, said State, on May 7, 1925 in Volume 12 of Maps, at pages <br />30 and 31. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day <br />of March, 1946, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolu- <br />tion: ANDERSON, ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER; GRANGER McNULTY and HILTON. <br />NOES, and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W. Miramontes and <br />approved by a majority of the real estate committee requesting approval of <br />the sale of Lot 6, Block B, Boyd and Kents Addittion for $750 and listing <br />the amount of delinquencies against it. City Manager Blom advised that this <br />one lot was practically conficated because of the heavy street assessments <br />against it. He said the County has a small amount against it and that it <br />El <br />
