a <br />312 WHEREAS, one written objection to the undertaking of said proceedings <br />without first complying with the provisions of said Investigation Act has <br />filed with the City Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by <br />persons interested, owning or having an interest in real property within <br />the proposed assessment district, bearing their signatures, a description <br />of their property, and a statement of the nature of their interest therein; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, all persons interested have been given an opportunity to be <br />and were fully heard, and said council has duly considered any and all <br />objections and protests made, and the said proposed improvements, and the <br />public convenience and necessity for making same-. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows: <br />1. That the public convenience and necessity require the improvements <br />described -in said Resolution of Preliminary Determination. <br />2. That any and all - objections and protests made pursuant to said <br />Resolution of Preliminary Determination be and the same are hereby over- <br />ruled and denied. <br />3. That the improvements described in said Resolution be made under <br />and pursuant to the provisions of the Redwood City Ordinance No. 333, and <br />that the'Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest <br />Act of 1931 shall not apply to said proceedings. <br />I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of Resolution adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 15th day of April, 1946, by the following•vote <br />of the members thereof. <br />AYES: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, MCNULTY <br />AND HILTON. <br />NOES: Coundilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilman: ANDERSON <br />RALPH S. HILTON <br />'Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the City Manager <br />be instructed to proceed with plans and specifications for the improvement <br />of Hudson Street. Under the question, City Manager Blom asked that it be <br />included in the motion that an outside firm be appointed to prepare the plans <br />and specifications. This was included in the motion which passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, filing of affidavit <br />of publication or ordinance authorizing purchase of pipe and fittings. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Britschgi offered adoption of ordinance authorizing purchase of pipe <br />and fittings, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. On roll call, ordinance was <br />unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, filing of affidavit <br />of publication of ordinance fixing rate of pay for laborers. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, adoption of ordinance <br />fixing rate of pay for laborers. On roll call, ordinance was unanimously <br />adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />This was the time set for hearing of protests in regard to the weed abatement <br />proceedings. There were no protestants. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded <br />by Councilman Britschgi, that affidavit of Lisle Winter of posting of <br />notices be filed. Motion passed unanimously.
