314 In regard to the application for a dance permit at the 2015 Club, Councilman <br />Britschgi stated he was opposed to granting the permit inasmuch as he was <br />not in favor of dancing in a bar,. Councilman Fletcher was of the opinion <br />that the club met the requirements of the ordinance and he moved, seconded <br />by Councilman McNulty, that the permit be granted provided it meets the <br />approval of the police and fire departments. Councilman Armstrong stated _ <br />he was voting in favor of the permit inasmuch as permits had been granted I� <br />to two other establishments. Motion passed with Councilman Britschgi <br />voting in the negative. <br />In regard to the Traffic Study Committee's recommendation for off-street park- <br />ing to be provided by new substantial businesses, Councilman Armstrong (, <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the matter be referred to the <br />proper administrative officials for a report as to what plans are effec- <br />tive in communities comparable to this one in order to carry out the plan. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McNulty offered resolution authorizing joint tenancy deed to Thomas <br />and Helen Clark to Lots 1 and 2, Block 48, Eastern Addition, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher. Councilman Armstrong asked if there were any delin- <br />quent taxes against these lots. City Collector Miramontes advised there <br />were none. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Council- <br />man Anderson absent. <br />RES OLUT ION No. 302 <br />AUTHORIZING DEED FROM THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO THOMAS B. CLARK <br />AND HELEN A. CLARK, HIS WIFE, AS JOINT TENANTS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City has heretofore <br />given public notice soliciting bids for the real property hereinafter <br />described for the time and in the manner required by the Charter of this <br />City and has heretofore appointed an appraiser to appraise the fair market <br />value of said property and THOMAS B. CLARK and HELEN A. CLARK submitted a <br />written bid or offer to purchase said property for $19500.002 and said bid <br />was the highest and best bid received for said property and is not less <br />than 90 per cent of the appraised value thereof as appraised by said ap- <br />praiser, and is found to be the reasonable market value of said property <br />at this time; <br />RESOLVED, that the City of Redwood City sell and convey to THOMAS B. <br />CLARK and HELEN A. CLARK, by a deed of Joint Tenancy, the real property <br />hereinabove referred to, situated in the City of Redwood City, County of. <br />San Mateo, State of California and particularly described as follows: <br />Lots 1 and 2 in Block 48 as shown on a map intitled "Map of Eastern <br />s Addition of Redwood City" filed in the office of the County Recorder <br />of San Mateo County, State of California, on November 3, 1862 in <br />Book 2 of Miscellaneous Records at page 85, and copied into Book 1 <br />of Maps at page 81, <br />;. <br />for said sum of $1,500.00 paid concurrently with the delivery of such deed; <br />1 <br />-, <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Clerk of this City be and <br />they are hereby authorized to execute such deed for and on behalf of said <br />City. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on <br />the 15th day of April, 19469 by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />�I <br />Resolution: <br />Councilmen: ARJSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, FLETCHER, GRANGER, McNULTY and <br />HILTON. <br />NOES, and against the passage and adoption of'the foregoing Resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilman: ANDERSON <br />
