Councilman Granger offered resolution and moved its adoption approxing memoran- <br />dum of agreement for expenditure of the 1/4¢ gas tax fund on Streets of <br />Major Importance. The motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty. On roll <br />cm <br />"p l call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />R E S O L U T I O N No. 305 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING <br />BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF L$4 <br />CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE <br />WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented to be entered <br />into with the State of California in accordance with a project statement <br />for expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas tax for the fiscal year 1946 allocated <br />for streets of major importance other than State highways in the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />' WHEREAS, the city council has heard read said agreement in full and <br />is familiar with the contents thereof;. <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the City of Redwood <br />City that said project statement be and it is hereby adopted as the bud- <br />get of proposed expenditures of the 1/4 cent gas tax allocated for streets <br />of major importance other than State highways, and said agreement be and <br />the same is hereby approved and the City Manager and the City Clerk are <br />directed to sign the same on behalf of said City, said agreement to be <br />binding upon the City upon its execution by the authorized officials of <br />the State. <br />ADOPTED THIS 15th day of April, 1946. <br />i <br />E. Councilman Fletcher seconded the motion. On roll call, <br />• resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Anderson absent. <br />R E S 0 L V T ION No. 306 <br />ADOPTING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br />OF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT EL CAMINO REAL AND JAMES AVENUE, RED- <br />WOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, AND CALLING FOR BIDS THEREFORE. <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, that <br />' WHEREAS the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications <br />for doing the following work and making the following improvements in <br />the City of Redwood City, to -wit: <br />The existing curb and gutter is to be removed and rebuilt to new <br />line and grade. Two reinforced P.C.C. drop inlet catchbasins with <br />metal curb inlets and frames and gratings to be provided and built with <br />connecting 15" concrete pipe drain and an 18" concrete pipe outlet drain <br />to connect with the existing drop inlet catchbasin on E1 Camino Real <br />`` as shown on the plans. The top of the existing inlet is to be removed <br />and rebuilt as shown on the plans. The existing sidewalks and drive- <br />way entrance aprons on the line of the work are to be removed and re- <br />built; also the existing open gutter.across James Avenue shall be filled <br />with asphaltic concrete to new line and grade as shown. All existing <br />light, signal and other poles or standards shall be removed and reset as <br />required, have been prepared by R. J. Clarke and Charles E. Randlett, <br />acting City Engineers respectively of said City, and submitted to and <br />filed with this Council on this date; <br />I; NOW 'THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City ofaRedwood <br />City that said Plans, profiles, specifications, drawings, and map or plat <br />317 <br />
