He stated he had received a report in regard to post war <br />building and that some information might be obtained from it. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Manager Blom reported that he had contacted Mr. Andrew Spinas, Superinten- <br />,J) dent of Schools, and other owners on Charter Street who would be involved <br />in completing the pavement from Middlefield Road to the Sweeney Ranch Line <br />on Charter Street. Both the school district and the two other property <br />owners are agreeable•to going ahead with the project and paying their por- <br />tion of the cost in cash. He advised that he had reported this fact to <br />James and Waters, engineering firm, who are preparing the plans for this <br />work. City Attorney McCarthy and Mr. Ernest Wilson are preparing an <br />agreement to cover the cost of the work. There were <br />no protests. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br />filing of affidavit of Jane Mead of mailing notices to property owners <br />within 275 feet of the proposed rest home. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McNulty offered adoption of resolution granting permit to George <br />Ipsen to conduct a rest home at the corner of Beech and Heller Streets, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger. On roll call, resolution was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />RES 0 L U T 1 0 N No. 312 <br />GRANTING PERMIT TO GEORGE W. IPSEN TO CONDUCT A CONVALESCENT HOME IN <br />THE SECOND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, GEORGE W. IPSEN has made written application to conduct a <br />Convalescent Home in the Second Residential District, to -wit, at 446 Heller <br />Street, corner of Beech Street, and written notice had been mailed to all <br />property owners within 275 feet of the exterior boundaries of said premises <br />and a hearing thereon has been had before this Council on this date and no <br />objections to the granting of said application have been made; <br />RESOLVED, that said application be granted and that a permit to con- <br />duct said Convalescent Home at said premises be and the same is hereby <br />granted to applicant. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of.Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on <br />the 6th day of May, 1946, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, <br />WERDER and HILTON <br />1�NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W.
