33.6'' b: Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance of bonds, all <br />of the above proposed work shall be done in pursuance of the provisions of <br />Article 1 of said Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance, <br />I <br />6. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 20th day of May, at the <br />hour of eight o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers of the City Council of <br />said City in the City Hall of said City are hereby fixed as the time and place <br />when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show cause, if <br />any they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that the <br />publiccconv_enience and necessity require the improvements described and re- <br />ferred to in this resolution, without further compliance with the Special <br />Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931. <br />7. There was some discussion as to <br />whether postcards should be sent to property owners allowing them to protest <br />the improvements. City Manager Blom pointed out that over 517o of the pro- <br />perty owners had signed the petition requesting the improvements and that <br />all would have an opportunity to protest before the proceedings were com- <br />pleted. He also suggested that the improvements to Taft Street between Vera <br />and James Avenue be included in the same resolution of preliminary deter- <br />mination. A petition had been received requesting improvements on this <br />street previously. Councilman McNulty offered adoption of resolution of <br />preliminary determination for improvements on Sapphire Street between Jef- <br />ferson Avenue and James Avenue and on Taft Street between Vera Avenue and <br />Jefferson Avenue.
