HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised that in 1938, though an inadvertence, a deed had <br />t_ <br />been made from Nelle L. Miramontes, City Collector, to the City of Redwood <br />City to Lot 4, Block 4, Jefferson Avenue Acres,;because the property was <br />thought to be delinquent. The San Mateo County Title Company requested <br />that the Council adopt a resolution concelling deed from Mrs. Miramontes to <br />the City of Redwood City inasmuch as there were no delinquencies against <br />the property. Councilman Granger offered adoption of resolution cancelling <br />deed to Lot 4, Block 4, Jefferson Acres from Mrs. Miramontes to the City of <br />Redwood City, seconded by Councilman:MoNulty. On roll call, resolution was <br />,unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION No. 319. <br />AUTHORIZING CANCELATION OF ERRONEOUS DEED. <br />WHEREAS, through an inadvertence, deed from Nelle L. Miramontes as <br />City Collector, to the City of Redwood City for delinquent taxes was ex- <br />ecuted, and recorded September 27, 1938 in the Office of the County of <br />San Mateo, State of California in Book 828 of Official Records at Page 16, <br />notwithstanding that no taxes upon the property therein described were <br />delinquent; <br />RESOLVED that the City of Redwood City cancel said erroneous deed of <br />said property, to -wit: <br />That certain lot situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, said State, particularly described as <br />The Southwesterly one-half of Lot 4 in Block 4 as shown on a map <br />r entitled "Jefferson Acres Redwood City - California" filed in the <br />Office of the County Recorder, said County and State on March 24, <br />L' 1922 in Volume 11 of Maps, pages 1 & 2. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution, duly certified by the <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood be recorded in the office of said County Re- <br />corder as evidence of the cancelation of said erroneous deed. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Coun- <br />cil of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the <br />6thday of May, 1946, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />Resolution: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, MCNULTY, SWIFT, <br />WERDER and HILTON. <br />343 <br />
