346 ' . <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Coun- <br />cil ok he City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th <br />day of May, 1946, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER <br />and HILTON <br />NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing resolution <br />this 6th day of May, 1946. <br />W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood 13ity <br />Councilman Granger registered a complaint against the Southern Pacific Company, <br />stating that while a train southbound was in the station and ten or fifteen <br />feet over the intersection, a northbound freight train passed at the rate of <br />45 or 50 miles per hour. He asked that this be checked. City Attorney <br />McCarthy advised that, as requested, he had taken up the matter of one or <br />two cars stopping across Broadway with Mr. Jordan of the Southern Pacific <br />Company who requested that all such violations be reported to him. Council- <br />man Armstrong reported one violation which City Attorney McCarthy advised he <br />would report to Mr. Jordan. <br />Claims No. 6828 to 6918 in the amount of $21,692.37 Were approved and ordered <br />paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Armstrong. <br />Under the question, Councilman McNulty questioned the claim of labor for the <br />building of the telephone booth. Building Inspector Duncan advised that most <br />of the work was cabinet work which was the reason for its being so high. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Hilton appointed Council committees as follows: <br />Real Estate Committee: <br />George W.
