W. W. HILTON. Mayor of the City of Redwood'City City Manager Blom also advised that Mr. Mott, the planning engineer, had recommended that a westerly entrance be provided into the new recreation area. This would necessitate the acquiring of certain property. It was the general consensus of the Council that it would be wise to have an en- trance to the park at this location. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Swift, that the matter be carried on the agenda for further study. Motion passed unanimously. A Mr. Borgia appeared before the Council requesting permission to install a trailer camp within the city limits at a location commonly known as Buteherts Field, property near the Southern Pacific Company Depot. The Council looked with disfavor on this location and Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the permit be denied for a trailer camp at this location. Motion passed unanimously. City Attorney McCarthy read contract to be entered into with Hahn and Campbell, planning engineers for the Mater Plan. Councilman Britschgi asked who was to receive work already completed if the plan were voluntarily terminated. City Attorney McCarthy advised he would provide for this in the contract be- fore it is signed.
