W. HILTON
Mayor of the City of Redwood City
ATTEST:
RALPH S. DODGE
Clerk of the City of Redwood City
I hereby approve the foregoing resolution this
27th day of May, 1946.
W. W. HILTON
Mayor of the City of Redwood City
Petition was received from property owners on Valota Road south of Redwood
Avenue requesting sanitary sewers. The petition was signed by nearly 100%
of the owners along that street. The area involved is about 1700 feet, or
about four city blocks. Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman
McNulty, that the City Attorney be instructed to have a resolution of pre-
liminary determination prepared for the next meeting of the Council cover-
ing improvements as requested in the above petition. Motion passed
unanimously.
City Manager Blom reported that a joint meeting of the Council and the Traffic
Study Committee had been held at which Mr. Martin of the Martin Transpor-
tation Company had been present and a verbal agreement had been reached
with him in regard to the rerouting of his bus line. Mr. Martin was to
come in within two days with either an overall plan or map showing the
reached agreement but, to date, had not done so. Councilman Granger moved,
seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the City Manager be instructed to
contact Mr. Martin calling his attention to an agreement entered into ver -
Bally with the Council which he agreed to reduce to writing his plan for
rerouting busses within two days and calling his attention to the fact that
the location of the existing loading zones are of a temporary nature and
asking him to comply with the terms of the agreement. Motion passed
unanimously.
Councilman Armstrong asked if there was a possibility of making an early decision
in regard to the parking lot. He stated that the Traffic Study Committee
had submitted a recommendation which the Council had postponed taking
action on and he believed it was up to the Council to make some definite
decision in this matter. There was some discussion of the matter and the
manner in which the financing should be handled, however, Councilman
Armstrong believed that could be settled later and some efforts made to ob-
tain the area immediately. Councilman Britschgi moved that the City
Attorney be instructed to start condemnation proceedings against the
C
f
0
vc.
t
0
vc.
