He acid .it was in a very <br />clean condition. Councilman. Anderson concurred..in..this opinion. Councilman <br />Granger moved, seconded by Councilman- Anderaon,.that the matter of abatement <br />proceedings against the old Harder Ranch be. dropped.. Motion passed unani- <br />mously. Councilman Granger said he .would.._recomne.nd..the removal of� the fence <br />surrounding the property. _ <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised, that. he_ eonta.e.ted. Hillview. <br />He said he had a very rough survey made and that. the .ocat...of installing drainage <br />syphons, sidewalka, durba and gutters.,, whick-would.be..necoo sary to improve the <br />condition, would amount to approximately $15,000. Councilman. Granger was of <br />the opinion that something should be done'to relieve the dituation, stating <br />that as long as four years the council had investigated -this problem. City <br />Manager Mead Informed the council. that a trap had_ been -Installed to help remedy <br />this condition but in order to do any permanent good it would be necessary to <br />put Intheabove listed improvements. Mayor Hilton.asked if,. inasmuch as the <br />drainage came from the hills outside of_ the city litnit.a,., the county would <br />assist financially. City. Manager .Mead .said. -he would contact County Engineer <br />Grant to see if this would be possible-. He said..the paving and the sidewalks <br />could be assessed against the property and he would try to work out some plan <br />and see if the county would participate in it -and to.what.extent. The matter <br />was carried on the agenda. <br />
