Council- <br />man Britschgi offered resolution and moved its adopti.on.requesting aid from <br />the State of California, to the City of Redwood City for civilian defense <br />purposes, under the provisions of Chapter 805, Statutes of 1943. Council- <br />man Anderson seconded the motion and on roll call the resolution was unani- <br />mously adopted with Councilman Fletcher absent. <br />Councilman Granger offered introduction of ordinance designating property along.. <br />El Camino Real as Fire Zone No. 2. This property was that discussed earlier <br />in the meeting and owned by Lily C. Currie and known as Lots 9 and 10, Block <br />1, Redwood Villa Park; and acreage located between Boyd and Kent's addition <br />and Redwood Villa Park owned by Angelo and Margaret Frnaceschini and Guiseppe <br />and Antoinette Ferrando. The motion was seconded by Councilman Anderson and <br />passed unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised that at the request of the contractor of sidewalk <br />proceedings designated as Resolution of Intention No. 1945-1; Colonel Kirk- <br />bride had examined the minutes as to the legal sufficiency of the proceedings <br />and had discovered that there was insufficient evidence of the introduction <br />and adoption of Ordinance No. 515 in the minutes of January 2nd and 15th, <br />1945. He,advised that the minutes be corrected and Councilman Anderson <br />I■ offered resolution and moved its adoption correcting minutes of the city <br />council of the meetings of January 2nd and 15th 1945. The motion was sec- <br />onded by Councilman McNulty and on roll call passed unanimously with Council- <br />man Fletcher absent. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 214 <br />Correcting Minutes of City Council <br />WHEREAS the minutes of the meetings of the City .Council of the .City of <br />Redwood City held on January 2nd and January 15th, 1945 do not adequately <br />reflect the introduction and adoption of Ordinance Number 515, entitled <br />"Providing an Investigation Proceeding Preliminary to the Adoption of any <br />Resolution of Intentions for the Construction of any Public Improvement or <br />the Acquisition of any Property for public use or both where the Cost <br />Thereof is to be Paid in Whole or in Part by Special Assessment upon Prop- <br />erty and Prescribing the Time and Manner of Notice of a Public Hearing <br />thereon before the Adoption of such Resolution of Intention";. and <br />WHEREAS, this informality in the minutes of said meetingg has recently <br />been called to the attention of this City Council; <br />RESOLVED that the minutes of said meeting of January 2, 1945, be and they <br />are hereby ordered corrected to read as follows; <br />"An ordinance entitled "Providing an Investigation Proceeding Pre- <br />lininary to the Adoption of any Resolution of Intention for the <br />Construction of any Public Improvement or the Acquisition of any - <br />Property for public use or both where the Cost Thereof is to be <br />Paid in Whole or in part by Special Assessment upon Property and <br />Prescribing the Time and Manner of Notice of a Public Hearing thereon <br />i before the Adoption of such Resolution of Intention71was read by the <br />1 ' Clerk and on motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded,by Councilman <br />McNulty was offered for introduction.
