0 <br />i <br />Application for dance permit was received from Yvonne Schlictmann for Vied- <br />nesday, August 8th and 15th until 12:00 midnight, fee having been <br />paid. Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that <br />permit be granted subject to the usual conditions. Motion Passed with <br />Councilman Armstrong voting in the negative. <br />Application for dance permit was received from Court Madrone No. 158, F. of A., <br />for 6aturdays, August 11th and 18th until 12.0.0 midnight. Councilman <br />Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that permit be granted <br />subject to the usual e:onditions. Motion passed with Councilman Arm- <br />strong voting in the negative. <br />Councilman Britschgi entered the meeting. <br />Application for permit to conduct rummage sale August 31 at 2101 E1 Caminos <br />Real was received from the Junior Ladies Guild of Redeemer Lutheran <br />church. Councilman Fletcher moved,. seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />that permit be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Application for restaurant license was received from Lavinia Grevonis, 135 <br />Willow Street. Health Department recommended the permit be denied on <br />the gtounds that there was a lack of proper or adequate facilities. <br />Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the <br />recommendation of the Health Department be concurred in and a letter <br />be addressed to the applicant informing her of the reason. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Communication was received from the California Mission Trails Association <br />requesting donation in the amount of $100. Councilman Anderson moved, <br />!1 <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that no action be taken on the matter. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Communication was received from the Oakland ASF Regional ;Station Hospital <br />advising they wished to purchase the Multilith Duplicator owned by the <br />city for the use cf patients in the occupational therapy print shop. <br />City Manager Mead advised that this machine wa,s installed in the fire <br />department and that'it had not been used since",the VJ.P.A. codified <br />the ordinance book several years ago. He explained that it is not in <br />use at the present time and that he. was making no recommendation. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the request be laid on the table because <br />the machine is in good shape and it has not been used very much and he <br />believed a good turn -in value could be had at some future time. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Dritschgi and passed unanimously. <br />Communication was received from John S. Cowgiil, Probation Officer, re- <br />questing parking spaces in front of the Probation Office for five cars. <br />Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that the mat- <br />ter be referred to the Traffic Study Committees Motion passed unanimously. <br />i� <br />d <br />
