Councilman Anderson withdrew his motion and moved that <br />the names submitted by the departments be, included on the committee and <br />that Miss Harper represent the Library. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgiand passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the city clerk be instructed to communicate with <br />city clerks in the various cities on the Peninsula to get information on <br />their, personnel systems and that the Board of Review, members, Messrs. <br />Stott and Hoffman, be furnihsed with a copy of the personnel set-up. <br />The. motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty and passed unanimously. <br />City Clerk Dodge reported that Building Inspector Duncan had checked and dis- <br />covered that subdivision of Lots 28 30 40 5 and 6. Block 1 of Central P.akk <br />had been approved December S, 1941. The ma&ter.was dropped from the agenda. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised he had prepared an ordinance in regard to rat <br />proofing houses in Redwood City and read same.• Councilman Britschgi moved <br />introduction of ordinance pnovIding or rat proffing of,new,houses and addi- <br />tions to houses in Redwood city. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher. Under the question, there was considerable discussion by the Council <br />most of them being of the opinion that they did not wish to vote on it at the <br />present time. Councilman Britschgi withdrew his motion with the consent of <br />the second,a nd asked that it be placed on the agenda of the next meeting. <br />City Manager Mead advised that the Oleson used car lot now complied with the <br />ordinance. Councilman Anderson moved the permit be granted, seconded by. <br />I . Councilman McNulty. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy, advised that the Planning Commission was going to.ask the <br />Council to meet with them to consider the whole area near Pine and Zathrop <br />Streets so that ipot zoning would be avoided. Councilman Granger moved, <br />seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the matter of rezoning property at Pine. <br />and Lathrop be placed on the agenda. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised that Mr. Weiner had agreed to remove fence on prop - <br />arty on Street and that it would be down and probably moved away by the <br />next, meeting.. The matter was carried on the agenda., ,y <br />C ity Manager Mead advised he had 41scussed with County Engineer Grant the matter of <br />County aid in regard to drainage at Westgate, Brewster and Hillview. City <br />Clerk Dodge read letter received from Mr. Grant in which he stat,04 the county <br />had no obligation in the matter. Councilman Britschgi moved the matter be <br />placed on the agenda for the next meeting, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Under the question, Councilman McNulty asked if the Council could not go in a <br />body to look over the condition. Councilman Anderson suggested that the Council <br />meet at 7:00 o'cloc k the night of the Planning Commission meeting on August 14th <br />and look over the drainage condition and then meet the Planning Commission at <br />9:00 o'clock and inspect the area at Pine and Lathrop Street. This was agreed <br />�, upon and the motion passed unanimously. <br />
