a City Clerk Dodge submitted plans to the Council which Club Seamus and Club Deap6n had presented to comply with the ordinance to,allow•dancing in their establishments. Councilman Anderson moved permit be granted to Club Seamus and Club,Deacon upon compliance with the plans and speci- fications as presented. The motion was seconded by Councilman Flet- cher. Under the question, Councilman Armstrong was of the opinion that neither club complied with the ordinance according to the plans submitted and that he was going to vote against the motion. There was considerable discussion with several of the councilmen signifying their intention of voting against the granting of permit's. The motion failed, to carry with Councilmen Anderson and Fletcher voting in the affirmatixee and Councilmen Armstrong, Britschgi, Granger, McNulty and Mayor Hilton voting in the negative. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that the:abatement .a:Deeeair,6A proceedings against the Rice, Hollenbaugh, Banta, Buhler, Roberts, and Zekerle properties be carried on the agenda to the first meeting in September. The motion passed unanimously. Messrs. Golly and Duprey, tenants of the Klang property, appeared before the Council with Mr. Klang requesting that abatement proceedings be carried along for the duration.' They stated they had spent considerable money 'in moving in and were not aware that no license was to be granted them at this address. Councilman McNulty expressed the opinion that if the, tenants would give a written agreement that they would, move frog' -the building at the duration he would be agreeable to letting them stay. Mr. Klang offered to post a bond to give them notice tb move at that time. Councilman Anderson moved that the business license be "granted the tenants subject to placing of a bond by the owner of the property in the amount of $1000 on the condition that he will remove the building within thirty days following the end of the present war. The motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty and passed unanimously. City Clerk Dodge read agreement of American Legion with Mr. H." D. McGarvey, Councilman Fletcher offered resolution and moved its adoption accepting agreement of American Legion with H. D. McGarvey, seconded by Councilman Granger. City Attorney McCarthy advised he believed the agreement should be r,recorded separately inasmuch as the deed has already been recorded by the American Legion. On roll call the resolution was unanimously adopted. Couneilmah Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that affidavit of F n' publication of 1945-46 Salary Ordinance be filed. Motion passed unani- mously. Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, adoption of 1945-46 Salary Ordinance. On roll call, ordinance was unanimously adopted.
