76 <br />n <br />RESOLVED that the minutes of said meeting of ijine,4, 1945 <br />be and they are hereby ordered corrected by inserting therein the fol- <br />lowing: <br />"Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher, that affidavit of publication of the ordi- <br />nance vacating and closing all streets and highways <br />shown on a map entitled Woodside Acres Subdivision <br />No. 2", be filed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />"Councilman Fletcher offered the adoption of the ordi- <br />nance'vacating and closing all public streets and <br />highways shown on a map entitled "Woodside .Acres Stib_, <br />'division No. 2", seconded by Councilman'MeNulty. On <br />roll call ordinance was unanimously adopted." <br />FUTHER RESOLVED that the clerk be and he is hereby directed <br />to correct the minutes of said meeting in accordance with this reso- <br />ligtion. <br />Passed and':adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of August, <br />1945, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor'of 'the passage and adoption -of said <br />Resolution: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, C. C. Armstrong, C. A. <br />Britschgi, E.A. Fletcher, F. Granger,.G. W. McNulty and W. W. <br />Hilton. Hilton <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />City Attorney McCarthy explained that a Mr. Callan purchased a lot on Roosevelt <br />and Valota Road from the county and had paid the county taxes. Since he <br />" purchased the lot he has never paid city taxes and he is now willing to. <br />pay an amount that will leave him an equity in the lot. He asked that <br />the Council adjust the assessments against the lot. There was consider- <br />able discussion, some of the,bouncilmen,being unwilling to make any con. <br />cession. Councilman Armstrong moved the matter be referred to the real <br />estate committee, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. Under the question, <br />Councilman Anderson advised that he would be unwilling to grant any con- <br />cession as long as the present builaing remains on the lot. Motion <br />Il - <br />s <br />09' <br />f passed unanimously. <br />C ouncilman Granger moved that the State allotment for the maintenance of <br />I <br />Union Cemetery be kept in a separate account. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Anderson and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Anderson questioned a claim covering fee for renewal of notary <br />commission for M rs. Lois Page, City Manager Mead advised that she was <br />the only notary in the City Hall and that the city had the need of such <br />A service.
