79 <br />MINUTES OFA ANNUAL MEETING <br />BOARD OF EQUALIZATION <br />August 13, 1945 <br />On roll call the following were noted present: Mayor W. W. Hilton, Council <br />men E. A. Fletcher, F. D. ranger and George W. McNulty, City Attorney <br />P. A. McCarthy, City Clerk R. S. Dodge and City Assessor Nelle L: Mira_ <br />montes. <br />The annual meeting of the Board of Equalization convened in the Council <br />Chambers in the City Hall, Redwood City, California, at the'houreof' <br />10:17 A.M. <br />Clerk advised that notice to taxpayers had been published in the Redwood <br />City Tribune on August 9th and 9th, thus complying with the law. <br />There being no protestant appearing before the Board and having received' <br />no written protest, meeting adjourned on motion of Boardmember Flet_ <br />cher, seconded by Boardmember McNulty. <br />Adjournment. <br />H. Pletcher, •F. D. Granger and G. W. McNulty, City Clerk <br />R. S..Dodge, City Attorney P. A. McCarthy, M re; Nelle L. Miramontes, <br />Chief C. L. Collins and Building Inspector L. M. Duncan. <br />City Attorney McCarthy.rendered a decision on matter of compensation to former <br />City Manager R. W. Mead to the effect that he was entitled to compensa_ <br />tion from August lot to 6th, inclusive, basinghis opinion on Dist. <br />Court of Appeal, case Nicholson vs Amar (1935) 7 Cal. App. (2nd) 290, <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution, seconded by Councilman Granger, author. <br />izing sale of old library building at public auction on August 30th at <br />9:30 P.M. in the City Hall, Council Chambers. Res6lut:ibn was adopted <br />unanimously on roll call, Councilman Anderson, Armstrong and Britschgi <br />noted absent. <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution, seconded by Councilman Granger can. <br />Belling security bond in the amount of 05,000 with Maryland Casualty Co. <br />Resolution was adopted unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Anderson, <br />Armstrong and Britschgi noted absent. <br />I I <br />
