Collins, City Collector Nelle L. <br />Miramontes. <br />tT� ' <br />Clerk Dodge read the notice of sale of property on Broadway and Jefferson <br />as advertised in the Redwood City Tribune on August 16th and 23rd. <br />tc! <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the southerly line of Broadway with <br />the westerly line of Jefferson Avenue; running thence westerly along <br />said line of Broadway 50 feet; thence at a right angle southerly 100 <br />feet; thence at a right angle easterly 50 feet to said line of Jefferson <br />I. <br />Avenue; and thence at ^ right angle northerly along the said line of <br />i <br />Jefferson Avenue 100 feet to the 'Point of beginning. <br />i <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Armstrong affidavit t <br />of publication was ordered filed. <br />After general discussion of terms of payment entered into by prospective <br />�I <br />bidders, Councilman Armstrong :,:ovcd, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, <br />that sale be subject to payment of cash deposit of 10%, and at least <br />an additional 70% making a total of 80% in a.11 by Sept. 17, 1945, at <br />the time title will be delivered to purchaser, and the balance of 20% <br />to be paid on delivery of property not later than Feb. 28, 1946. <br />Motion carried. <br />First bid of $15,000.00 was offered by Albert Ichelson and W. E. Ayer, <br />joint bidders. <br />Councilman Armstrong moved to amend the terms of payment to permit success- <br />ful bidder to pay 10% upon award, and an additional 40% on Sept. 17th, im <br />on delivery of deed, bal^nce to be paid on delivery of premises not <br />later than Feb. 28, 1946, Councilman Fletcher seconded motion which <br />carried. <br />Spirited bidding followed the above motion, resulting in a final offer of <br />c <br />$27,500.00 from Albert Ichelson and W. E. Ayer. <br />Councilman Armstrong moved acceptance of bid, seconded by Councilmen Fletcher, <br />subject to the motion recorded above outling terms of sale. Motion <br />carried, whereupon, Ichelson ^nd Ayer paid to the clerk 107o of bid price, <br />of $27bO.00. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, meeting <br />adjourned. <br />R, S, Dodge —G City Clerk. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR ?.MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 1945 <br />8:00 P. hi, <br />On roll call, the following; were present: Councilmen Harold F.
