The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of 01 <br />Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on tiie'20th day of January, .1947 15y <br />the following vote: <br />AYES and in favor of the -.Passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, MCNULTY, SWIFT and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE . <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: WERDER <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />I <br />I hereby.approve the foregoing resolution <br />this 20th day of January, 1947. <br />W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Granger questioned the condition of the El Camino Real center strip which he <br />stated was in a dirty and unsightly condition. City Manager Blom advised he would <br />contact the State Highway Department. <br />Councilman Granger suggested that some definite action be taken to acquire Butcher's <br />Field for a commuters' parking lot. City Manager Blom advised that he had had confer- <br />ence with the representatives of the Southern Pacific about that matter and believed . <br />that it might be possible to obtain this property on a lease basis and install a <br />parking lot with all day parking meters provided to pay the cost. City Manager ' <br />Blom asked that a committee of the Council meet with him and representatives of <br />the Southern Pacific to discuss this matter. <br />Claims No. 757 to 830 in the amount of $18,661.88 were approved and ordered paid on <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Granger. Motion passed unani- <br />mously. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the meeting be <br />adjourned. Q <br />R. S.
