HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Werder offered resolution ordering the work done in Redwood Villa Park <br />and directing the Clerk to give notice of publication calling for bids, fixing the <br />time for receiving bids as March 3, 1947 and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty. Under the question, Councilman Britschgi asked if a better bid <br />could be obtained by holding over the matter for a few months. City Manager Blym <br />believed that good bids could be obtained at this time and he did not believe <br />the work should be delayed too long. On roll call, resolution was unanimously <br />adopted with Councilman Armstrong absent. <br />RE 50 LUT ION No. 429 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK <br />(Resolution of Intention No. 1946-3) <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did', on the 19th day of <br />August, 194b, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 194b-3 to,order the here <br />inafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage -of said Resolution of Intention No. 194b-3, <br />headed °NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT°, were duly and regularly posted along the line <br />of said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable <br />to be assessed therefor, and on all of the streets in the district to be assessed <br />therefor, in time, form, manner and number as required by law, as appears from <br />the affidavits of LISLE WINTER, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood <br />City, and <br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and <br />WHEREAS it appears from the affidavit of said LISLE WINTER that the posting <br />1 of said notices of improvement, as aforesaid, was completed on the 24th day of <br />August, 1946; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavit of Reta Osborn that said notice of <br />the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-3 was duly and regularly <br />published in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper published, <br />printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 194b-3 and the notices <br />of the passage thereof, posted as aforesaid, said Council of the City of Redwood <br />City fixed Tuesday, the 3d day of September, 1946 at the hour of 9:00 o'clock <br />p.m. of said day at the Council Chambers of the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, as the day, hour and place <br />when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work <br />and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-3, or to the <br />grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the <br />district assessed for said work and improvements, could appear before said Coun- <br />cil and show cause why said proposed work and improvements thould not be carried <br />r <br />i <br />I <br />
