Consideration of petition to annex Land Development Company Industrial Tract.was dropped` 4 7 <br />from the agenda due to the fact that the petition had not been 'received. <br />City Attorney McCarthy presented resolution accepting -grant of sewer right of way easement <br />in Hudson Park from David Holder. City Manager Blom stated the resolution was in <br />order. Councilman Werder offered resolution accepting grant of sewer right of way <br />easement in Hudson Park and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Britschgi absent. <br />RE SOLUT ION No. 453 <br />ACCEPTING EASEMENT FROM DAVID HOLDER AND CLARA HOLDER, HIS WIFE <br />RESOLVED that the -City of Redwood City accept a deed of perpetual non-exclusive <br />easement from DAVID HOLDER and CLARA HOLDER, his wife, in over and under a parcel of <br />land situated in Hudson Park in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State <br />I of California, with the right of ingress to and agress from said easement for the <br />purpose of altering, repairing, maintaining and otherwise servicing a public utility <br />service, namely a sewer, which deed of easement is dated the 15th day of March, 1947. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council <br />of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of <br />March, 1947, by the following vote: <br />Ayes, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution:' <br />Councilmen: AR14STRONG, GRANGER, MCNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilman: BRITSCHGI <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Said easement is particularly described as follows: <br />A grant of a sewer easement in Lots 1, 4 and 5, as said lots are shown on a <br />map entitled "Hudson Park", Redwood City, California, recorded in Book 26 <br />of Baps at page 29, San Mateo County Records, described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the Southeasterly line of Lot 1 which point of <br />beginning bears North 440 30' East 6 feet from the most Southerly corner <br />of said Lot 1, thence along said Southeasterly line North 440 30' East 8 <br />feet; thence North 450 30' West 8 feet; thence South 440 30' West 8 feet; <br />thence South 450 30' East 8 feet to the point of beginning; also a strip of <br />land eight feet wide, the center line of which is the dividing line <br />between Lots 4 and 5 and which extends four feet in width on each side of <br />said line. <br />City Manager Blom advised the tree planting plan had been received from William Penn Mott, <br />Jr., but that he had not had an opportunity to study it as yet and recommended that <br />it be referred to the Planning Commission for study. It was so ordered. <br />City Manager Blom advised he, had further negotiated with the California Water Service <br />Company in regard to the purchase of the water system in Redwood Village. The <br />original price set on the system was 27,650. City Engineer Longson and the City <br />Manager hod made an estimate and arrived at a figure of 524,5.37.50. The City Mana- <br />ger had advised the California Water Service Company that he would recommend this <br />figure for Council approval.. <br />A reply had been received to his letter that the company would accept $1000 less <br />than the original price. or $26, 650.
