<br />The construction'of a sanitary sewer with manholes and other appurtenances and
<br />the restoration of pavement of Valota Road where such pavement is removed for
<br />the purpose of constructing said sewer, all as shown in plans, specifications,
<br />profiles and assessment diagram prepared by the City Engineer of said City.
<br />WHEREAS in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1 said Council fixed
<br />Monday, the 7th day of April, 1947, at the hour of E o'clock p.m. of said day,
<br />at the meeting place of said Council in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said
<br />City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the day, hour
<br />and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed
<br />work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention 1947-1, or to the
<br />grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the
<br />district to be assessed for said work and improvements, could appear before said
<br />Council and show cause why said work and improvements should not be carried out
<br />gnd done in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1 or why said
<br />said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the proposed
<br />grades as shown on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications re-
<br />ferred to in said Resolution of Intention 1947-1 and now on file in the office
<br />of the Clerk of said City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place above-mentioned, when and where objections
<br />could be made as aforesaid NO written objections were made to said work and im-
<br />provements or to the extent of the district to be assessed therefore; and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did proceed to hear and consider protests and objections,
<br />and said Council has fully considered the same:
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of. the City of Redwood City and said
<br />Council does hereby determine and declare that said protests and objections were
<br />not made by the owners of one-half of the area of the property in the district to
<br />be assessed for said work and improvements; and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Council that said written protests and objec-
<br />tions, and each and all thereof, be and the same are hereby overruled.
<br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of
<br />the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of
<br />April, 1947, by the following vote:

<br />Resolution ordering the work done and calling for bids, date for receiving bids set
<br />for May 5, under Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1, was offered and moved for
<br />adoption by Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman McNulty. On roll call,
<br />resolution was unanimously adopted.

<br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND CALLING FOR BIDS
<br />(Resolution of Intention No 1947-1)
<br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on the 17th day of
<br />March, 1947, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1 to order the
<br />hereinafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said City'
<br />of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1,
<br />headed "NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT°, were duly and regularly posted along the line of
<br />said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable
<br />to be assessed therefore, and on all of the streets in the district to be assessed
<br />therefore, in time, form, manner and number as required by law, as appears from
<br />the affidavits of R. E. PONTOW, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood
<br />City, and
<br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and
<br />WHEREAS it appears from the affidavits of said R. E. PONTOW hereinbefore
