HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City ' <br />CITY ATTORNEY McCARTHY TENDERED HIS RESIGNATION AS CITY ATTORNEY EFFECTIVE April 7, <br />1947. He explained that due to the press of work in his office he was not bble <br />to do justice to his duties as City Attorney and those of his private law practice. <br />He requested that he be renumerated for his services for the balance of April due to <br />the fact that he would be called upon for assistance from his successor for some <br />time to come. Councilman Werder offered adoption of resolution accepting the <br />resignation of Mr. McCarthy as City Attorney and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty who expressed regret that after the many years of service <br />extended the city by Mr. McCarthy that he was resigning at this time. On roll call, <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION No. 461 <br />ff Ad <br />ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Council t <br />RESOLVED by the City ou it of the City of Redwood City that the repigna- <br />tion of PAUL A. Motion passed unanimously. <br />I; <br />COMMUNICATION WAS RECEIVED FROM CUTHBERT B. CURRIE resigning as a member of the Red- <br />wood City Planning Commission. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Swift, that Mr. Currie's resignation be accepted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />I� <br />
