184 <br />R E S 0 L U T S, 0 N No. 472 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR VALOTA ROAD SEWERS <br />y <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Redwood City did in open session, on <br />the 5th day of May, 1947, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals <br />or bids for the work to be done and improvements to be made as described and <br />f_ <br />specified in Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1 (Resolution No. 4.51), adopted March <br />17, 1947, to which Resolution reference is hereby made for a description of the <br />work and improvements to.be done and the materials, supplies, equipment and appli- <br />ances to be furnished therefor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City as follows: <br />1. That contracts for doing the work and improvements and furnishing materials, <br />supplies, equipment and appliances necessary therefor are hereby awarded to the <br />lowest responsible bidders therefor, to wit: <br />Gabriel Construction Company, 2200Avenue, San Francisco, 24, <br />ti <br />ia .•Oakdale <br />nt oned in their <br />at the prices me bids; <br />1 , <br />2. That the City Manager of the City of Redwood City be and he is hereby <br />authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said successful bidders <br />and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith; <br />3. That all other bids are hereby rejected and the bid bonds and checks are <br />ordered returned to the bidders. <br />Regularly passed and adopted this 5th day of May, 1947 - <br />AYES, and in favor of said Resolution: Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, <br />McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: ARMSTRONG. <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />CITY CLERK DODGE PRESENTED RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $150'from Unbudgeted Reserve <br />to City Engineer - Supplies and Services and $47.50 from the City Attorney's Con- <br />vention Expense to Supplies and Services. Councilman McNulty offered resolution <br />transferring the sums as requested and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />Werder. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Armstrong <br />absent. <br />RESOLUTION No. 473 <br />TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM UNBUDGETED RESERVE AND CITY ATTORNEY,` CONVENTION <br />EXPENSES. <br />RESOLVED, that the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars -be transferred from the <br />Unbudgeted Reserve to City Engineer, Supplies and Services and that the balance <br />of Forty Seven Dollars and Seventy Cents in the City Attorney Convention Expense <br />be transferred to the City Attorney, Supplies and Expenses. — <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of May, 1947 <br />by the following vote: - <br />AYES and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE. <br />3 <br />f <br />
