7 <br />L. <br />IJ <br />II <br />and age of the car being used in this department and also that car mileage was beinj 95 <br />paid the Assistant Recreation Director which had not been anticipated when the budget <br />was prepared. $500.00 from the Unbedgeted Reserve to Sewer Department Supplied and <br />Services. This transfer is necessary because of the tremendous amount of requests <br />for new laterals. More receipts are being taken in than had been anticipated which <br />money is being paid into the city treasury but not into this fund. $350.00 from <br />Unbadgeted Reserve to City Attorney - Salaries. This is necessary because of the dual <br />salary paid one month while the former city attorney and the present one were both <br />on the payroll. $410.00 from Unbudgeted Reserve to Municipal Buildings - Salaries. <br />This is due to having to have a substitute janitor while the permanent janitor is ill <br />and paying dual salaries. -$150.00 from Unbudgeted Reserve to Parks - Auto Expense. <br />This is necessary becauseof using an•additional truck that was not contemplated when <br />the budget was prepared.- Councilman Werder offered resolution transferring funds as <br />requested and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. On' roll call, <br />resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />R E S O L U T I O N No. 477• <br />REQUEST TO TRANSFER FUNDS <br />RESOLVED that the following transfer of funds be -made: <br />1. Three hundred dollars 0300.00) be transferred from Recreation Supplied and <br />Services No. 442-2 to Recreation Motor Vehicle No. 442-3- <br />2. Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) be transferred from Unbudgeted Reserve to <br />Sewer Department Supplies and Services No. 436-2. <br />Three hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) be transferred from Unbudgeted <br />Reserve to City Attorney - Salaries No. 406-2. <br />4. Four hundred and ten dollars (0410.00) from Unbudgeted Reserve to Municipal <br />Buildings - Salaries. <br />5,. One hundred and fifty dollars (0150.00) from Unbudgeted Reserve to Parks - <br />Auto Expense No. 441-3. <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of May, 1947, <br />by'the following vote. <br />AYES and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES:and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCIL2+iAN GRANGER ASKED IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO TRANSFER UNUSED FUNDS for equipment <br />as provided in the budget to a special fund so that the money unexpended would not <br />revert to'the general fund at the end of the year. City Manager Blom advised that <br />an equipment replacement fund was at present set up which provided for each depart- <br />ment to contribute a sum each year to that fund for replacement of•equipment or <br />office furniture and machines. He further explained that in the present fiscal <br />year's budget there are no items which could be transferred to a special fund inas- <br />much as most capital expenditures were spent from the post War Fund. <br />
