Motion passed unanimously.
COMMUNICATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION SUGGESTING THAT IN THE EVENT THE MAYOR COULD
NOT ATTEND the meetings of the Commission that he delegate a member of the Council
in his place was read by the City Clerk. This communication was held over until
Mayor Hilton's return.
RECEIVED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION WAS A RE0014MENDATION TO CHANGE THE NAME, OF ROGERS
STREET TO WHIPPLE AVENUE and that Whipple, Brewster and Hopkins Avenues be renumbered
to start with No. 1000 at the El Camino Real with numbers increasing to the West and
decreasing to the East. It was felt these changes would establish a more uniform
and convenient numbering system. Councilman Swift moved, seconded by Councilman
Holmquist, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved and the
-City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance changing the name of Rogers Street
to Whipple Avenue. Motion passed unanimously.
RECO14MENDATION WAS RECEIVED FROM THE PLANNING COIC418SION TO APPROVE TENTATIVE MAP OF THE
MURPHY TRACT subject to following conditions: 1. That a 20 foot building
set -back line be established on all other lots in the subdivision. 4. That the
map meet all requirements of the City Engineer. Councilman Swift moved, seconded
by Councilman Holmquist, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be
accepted. Motion passed unanimously.
CITY CLERK DODGE ADVISED THAT THE FORMER CITY COLLECTOR has requested that the city records
I show some type of clearance in regard -to her records. He presented a letter which
C. G. Uhlenberg had written on March 15, declaring her records and that of the
Auditor, R. S. Dodge, to be in order. Councilman Holmquist moved, seconded by Coun-
cilman Swift, that the entire letter of Mr. Uhlenberg be made a part of the records.
Motion passed unanimously.
LETTER
Mr. W. W.
