We HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />In response to Councilman Holmquist's inquiry regarding improvements on Stambaugh <br />Street, City Manager Blom advised that the Stambaugh Street project is being held <br />in abeyance inasmuch as the Cunningham project is act progressing and it is necessary <br />to take the sewage from the Stambaugh Street project through Cunningham's area. It <br />will now be necessary to revamp the plans. <br />COUNCILMAN McNULTY INQUIRED ABOUT THE STATUS OF LIGUORI STREET. City Manager Blom advised <br />that the financing of the project has to be worked out before the work can be started. <br />I <br />Attorney Ernest Wilson had advised that it would be difficult to find a market for <br />the bonds. Unless the owners of the property would agree to buy the bonds, he believed <br />It would be difficult to find a contractor who would do the work. City Manager Blom <br />stated further that there is•a contract in existence which provides that in the event <br />property is sold in this area money would be deposited with the City Treasurer to <br />cover the assessment for the street work. He believed that some sales had been made <br />I <br />} but no money has been placed on deposit with the Treasurer. City Attorney Currie <br />stated that the owners might be contacted to see why the money has not'been deposited. <br />This matter was placed on the agenda for a report. <br />j CLAIMS No. 1652 to 1747 inclusive, in the amount of $37,111.20, were approved and ordered <br />paid ori motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Swift.
