Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Swift,,that a communication be <br />227 <br />directed to Mr. Robinson to the effect that the city will assume no responsibility <br />for the hinges, etc. which he desires and that if he wants them he may remove and <br />replace with others within the period of one year. Motion passed unanimously. <br />CITY ENGINEER LONGSON PRESENTED A REPORT ON CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS NOW UNDER WAY. A copy <br />was presented to each member of the Council.and a short discussion was held. Coun- <br />cilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, that the report be carried <br />on the agenda until the first meeting in August. Motion passed unanimously. <br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE PRESENTED RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED FROM PETER F. PLAIN and his wife <br />to Lot S`, Block 37, Map No. 2 of Central Park. He advised that the original appraisal <br />on this lot was $950 but that several other corner lots had been appraised at.$1150.. <br />i <br />Mr. Plain had had an offer of $1500 for the lot. After discussing the matter with <br />the City Manager, it was decided to submit an offer of $1100. It was believed this <br />jI <br />would be cheaper than to have the matter taken to court.' Councilman Granger asked <br />if the real estate committee had been contacted. Councilman Werder, as a member of <br />the real estate committee advised that he was familiar with property in this area <br />and believed $1100 was a fair offer. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Werder, adoption of resolution accepting deed from Peter F. Plain and his wife <br />to Lot S, Block 37, Map No. 2, Central Park. On roll call, resolution was <br />unanimously adopted. ; <br />RESOLUTION No. 488 <br />ACCEPTING DEED FROM PETER F. PLAIN AND VIRGINIA M. PLAIN, HIS WIFE <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the deed from PETER F. <br />PLAIN and VIRGINIA M. PLAIN, his wife, to the City of Redwood City, dated June 1b, <br />1947, be accepted by and on behalf of said City., said deed being for the following <br />described property: <br />Lot S in Block 37, as designated on the map entitled "Map No. 2 of <br />Central Park, Redwood City, San Mateo County", which map was filed <br />in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of <br />California, on July 20, 19121 in Book S of Maps at pages 15 and 16. <br />Passed and adopted_by the Council of the City of Redwood City.at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 7th day of July, 1947, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: NONE <br />W.
