COUNCILMAN GRANGER MOVED FILING OF AFFIDAVIT of publication of notice of public hearing on adoption of Master Plan, seconded by Councilman Britschgi.• Motion passed unanimously. The Mayor called for verbal protests. There were none and Councilman Granger offered resolution and moved its adoption adopting the Master Plan as a general guidance, seconded by Councilman Werder. On roll call, resolution was unanimously CCC adopted. R E S 0 L U T ION No.498 ADOPTING AND APPROVING MASTER PLAN OF REDWOOD CITY AS GENERAL GUIDE WHEREAS, on May 24, 194b, a contract was entered into between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY and HAHN, CAMPBELL and ASSOCIATES, Planning Consultants, for the preparation of a Master Plan for Redwood City; and WHEREAS said firm did, pursuant to said contract, prepare a Master Plan for the City of Redwood City which contained the following units: 1. Public and Quasi -Public Facilities 2. Zoning Plan 3. Major Street and Highway Plan Off -Street Parking Plan 5. Park and Recreation Plan 6. Public Works Plan 7. Civic Objectives �.. Review of City Legislation and • WHEREAS said Master Plan has been finally completed by said firm; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City did adopt and approve said Master Plan, after holding a public hearing thereon, notice of the time and place of which was given according to law; and WHEREAS a certified copy of the Master Plan as adopted by the Planning Com- mission was forwarded to the City Council of the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS a public hearing was held by the City Council of the City of•Redwood City on the 4th day of August, 19470 at 9:00 o'clock P. M., after notice of said hearing was duly published in the Redwood City Tribune in accordance with State law, as appears from the affidavit on file herein; I' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that the said City Council does hereby approve and adopt said Master Plan ') as a general guide for the orderly growth of the community, and to promote public health, safety and general welfare, including, specifically, problems related to land use and zoning, streets and highways, off-street parking, public works and j city legislation.as they affect planning.
