r <br />The Southerly 1/2 of Lot 4, as designated on the map -entitled °RESUB- <br />DIVISION OF LOTS 1 to 6 INC., THE SOUTH HALF OF IAT SAND LOTS 9 to 45 • <br />INCLUSIVE OF ROOSEVELT OAKS; REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA", which map was filed <br />in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, State'of California on <br />December 7, 1914 in Liber 9 of Maps at page 30. ,s <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held op the 4th day of August, 1947, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, WERDER, and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES, and against the,passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: SWIFT <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />CITY MANAGER BLOM ADVISED THAT NOTICE TO BIDDERS FOR THE RECREATION BUILDING are being <br />published and bids will be received at the next meeting. He suggested a different <br />location at Community Park for the erection of this building and suggested that the <br />members of the Council visit the park and inspect the site. <br />CITY MANAGER BLOM REPORTED THAT IN REGARD TO THE STREET -LIGHTING SYSTEM IN REDWOOD VILLAGE, <br />the Pacific Gas and Electric Company will install the system and charge the city <br />on the Schedule L-30 rate. If the city installs the system, it will cost an esti- <br />mated $6495. In the event the P. G. & E. buys the whole system, this part would be <br />included in the monthly schedule rate. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Coun- <br />oilman Britschgi, that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate with the Pacific <br />Gas and Electric Company to install the street lighting system in Redwood Village <br />under the L-30 schedule. Motion passed unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORI;ING TRANSFER OF GENERAL RESERVE ACCOUNT to General Fund to maintain <br />and keep on cash basis was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Werder, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted, <br />with Councilman Swift absent. <br />RE SOLUTION No. 503 <br />AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF GENERAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO GENERAL FUND TO MAINTAIN <br />AND KEEP ON CASH BASIS. <br />RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to transfer the <br />general reserve account to general fund cash account for the purpose of keeping <br />said fund, as nearly as possible, on a cash basis, as provided for in Section 61 <br />of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum so transferred be returned to the general <br />reserve account as soon as cash is available immediately after December lst when <br />moneys are collected on present fiscal year tax bills, and in no event later than <br />the end of the present fiscal year. <br />AYES and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, WERDER, and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: SWIFT. <br />W.
