HILTON
Mayor of the City of Redwood City
MR. PAUL TRAVER AND W. P. JEDGE OF REDWOOD VILLAGE appeared to, request. Council to zone the
Village as First Residential and to hold in abeyance the issuance of any business
license and/or building permit until such time as such zone can be established.
City Manager Blom advised that at the time of annexation the people were assured
there would be no change from the zoning allowed by the County.of San Mateo. In
response to inquiry of Councilman Werder, as to how the County.zoning law differed
from our own zoning ordinance, City Manager Blom advised the County zoned the district
as Rr2 residential which would permit duplex residences. ,Councilman Werder moved,
seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that Building Inspector grant no permits and City
Collector issue no business permits in violation of the First Residential zone law
pending final action by the Council With the understanding that the area previously
zoned for business, namely facing Middlefield Road, be excluded from motion.
