Gans, San Mateo County
Health Director, urging the Council to approve Propositions 1, 21 32 4 and
6 as they appear on the November ballot. It was the opinion of those Coun-
cilmen present that the Council should not endorse any propositions. One of the signs is on city
property. There was some discussion as to whether or not permits had been
issued for the erection of these signs, it being the general opinion of the
Council that they had not been. The City Manager was asked to contact
Foster and Kleiser and ask them on what authority they had erected the signs.
He was also asked to determine the status of the Coca Cola sign on Bayshore
Highway for which no permit had been issued and which had been ordered
removed.
Councilman Granger stated that the Tribune reporter, Bud Sprunger, had requested
the city to furnish a handball court and he moved, seconded by Councilman
Swift, that the matter be referred to the Recreation Commission for their
r '
recommendation.
