<br />said day, when the pllls shall be closed; except that if at the hour of closing 305
<br />there are any voters in the polling place, or in line at the door, who are qualified
<br />to vote and who have not been able to do so since appearing, the polls shall be kept
<br />open a sufficient time to enable them to vote, but no one shall arrive at the poll-
<br />ing place after 7:00 o'clock P. M. of said day shall be entitled to vote, although
<br />the polls may be open when they arrive.
<br />SECTION 5. That for the purpose of holding and conducting such special election,
<br />said territory herein described and referred to as North Kensington Square is hereby
<br />districted into, and there is hereby established, one voting precinct, and the poll-
<br />ing place and the election officers for such precinct are hereby fixed at and named
<br />as follows:
<br />Voting Precinct No. 1, comprising all of the territory within the exterior
<br />boundaries of the property hereinabove described and herein proposed to be annexed.
<br />The polling place thereof shall be the residence of:

<br />and the election officers therefore are:

<br />The officers of election have volunteered their services and shall receive no
<br />compensation for their services.
<br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council
<br />of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of
<br />November, 1947, by the following vote:

<br />PROCLAIMING, CALLING, GIVING NOTICE OF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING
<br />OF A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORS

<br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of Redwood City a written
<br />petition signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors re-
<br />siding in the territory hereinafter described, as shown by the registration of voters
<br />.i of the County of San Mateo, State of California, asking that such territory be annex-
<br />ed to the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation; and
<br />;i WHEREAS, on Monday, the 17th day of November, 1947, at the hour of eight o'clock
<br />P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Redwood City, a hearing
<br />was held, at which time any person owning real property within said described terri-
<br />tory proposed to be annexed, having any objections to the proposed annexation, could
<br />appear before said City Council dnd`show cause why said territory should not be so
<br />annexed; and
<br />WHEREAS, at said time of said hearing no protests or objections of any kind were
<br />y made to the proposed annexation of said territory;
