Councilman <br />i, <br />Armstrong offered resolution calling for bids and issuance of bonds for Hudson <br />Street improvements and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Werder: <br />Under the question, it was discussed as to whether it would be advisable to <br />nave the bids opened before 8:00 P.M., however, it was decided that it was �. <br />customary to open them before the Council. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />City Manager Blom announced the appointment of John Brophy to the office of Tax <br />Collector and Assessor. He stated that when he made the appointment he had <br />in mind the recommendation wnicn he was goingto present to the Council at <br />this time. At the present time, the offices of City Clerk, City Auditor and <br />City Treasurer are held by one person, and the offices of Tax Collector and <br />Assessor are combined. lie believed that the City has grown to the point where <br />
