WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS SUGGESTED that space be left at the top of Business License appli- <br />cation Blanks for conditional approval by Heaith, Building, Fire and Police <br />Departments. It was so moved by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman <br />Morgan, and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS THOUGHT THAT WATER should not be dumped in the alley by the Sequoia <br />Laundry. City Manager Rolison state the Building Inspector had been down there <br />several times and that the ordinance should not be violated. City Attorney Currie <br />had called them on this date and was promised it would be taken care of by the <br />following date. Some action should be taken if necessary. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER OBSERVED NEW SIGNS being put up and according to the Sign Ordinance <br />fees were collectable. Councilman Morgan moved that this be placed on the agenda, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER THOUGHT THE TAX BILLS should show breakdown on veterans' exemption <br />and he so moved, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />CLAIMS Nos.. 5159 to 5306 in the amount of $79,579.63 were approved for payment on motion <br />of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Granger, and carried. <br />Adjournment 11:30 P.M. <br />IA44 <br />/ RALPH S. M. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, <br />H. E. Holmquist, A. J. Morgan, Jr., R. V. Spillers, A. V. Swift, and City Clerk <br />Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City Collector Paul E. Perrin, Assistant Build- <br />ing Inspector Stephen Kreiss, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Water Superintendent H. L. <br />Winter, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Fire Inspector <br />Richard Drivon, City Attorney Cuthbert B. Currie, City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Lk <br />Engineer Glenn M..Jain. Mayor Werder noted Absent on account of illness. <br />CITY CLERK DODGE CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. Councilman Holmquist•was nominated for <br />Chairman on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS MAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of January 17th were <br />approved on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />
