Mayor i <br />Werder and City Attorney Currie were of the opinion this should be studied. Coun- <br />.cilman Morgan moved this be placed on the agenda, Building Inspector Duncan to be <br />instructed to issue no more permits until the matter was cleared up, an adjourned f3, <br />meeting was to be held at 8:00 P. M., Thursday, March 10, 1949, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Britschgi. Mr. Colligan expressed the desire for refund on other permits <br />not used. Motion carried. <br />REPORT ON SELF -SERV GAS STATIONS. Councilman Swift reported a meeting was held last <br />week by the committee, but it was decided to await Mr. Currie's return from Los <br />Angeles, :the ordinance to be worked out satisfactory to all and he moved this be <br />carried on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR TAXI PERMITS, PAUL CESARE. Councilman Morgan reported the committee <br />wished more time to study the -ordinance relative to granting permits and moved this <br />be placed on the agenda for the next meeting, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, <br />and carried. <br />REQUEST FOR TAX REFUND. T. J. CALLAN. City Attorney Currie reported this tax paid once <br />only with no record of who paid the tax, no reason for the refund and no further <br />action for the Council. Councilman Morgan moved this be dropped from the agenda, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />A REQUEST OF SAM GARCIA FOR WATER CONNECTION. Lot 16, Block 2, Redwood Terrace No. 1. <br />1 <br />City Attorney Curried stated this was in the area in which contractor, Collen <br />Construction Company, had requested final inspection tags. The Water Department had <br />treated this area as a subdivision and as such the subdivider was to install water i <br />connections: The fact that this piece of property was within 100 feet of a water r <br />main was a matter for -the Council's interpretation of rules; if the City made this <br />connection there would be nothing to prevent the City being required to run the <br />entire water system to the remaining houses. Councilman Morgan moved this be placed <br />on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried. s <br />PLAY EQUIPMENT FOR STAFFORD PARK. City Manager Rolison reported that the committee from I}I <br />the Recreation Commission and the Assistant Engineer and himself wished to study <br />I <br />the playground equipment used in nearby areas and would like more time. Councilman <br />Spillers moved this be carried forth on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, <br />and carried. <br />AMENDMENT TO'ZONING ORDINANCE 600, rezoning certain areas along Woodside Road.
