■ <br />146 <br />Counciln Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers; and carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 680 <br />AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH MORRIS AND'ACCEPTING DEED <br />WHEREAS, T. KENT MORRIS and HETTIE MORRIS, his wife have agreed to convey with- <br />out charge to the City of Redwood City a strip of land in that area known as Kensing- <br />ton Square, for street widening purposes, if City will remove and replant a certain <br />hedge and remove and cap a.portion of an automatic sprinkler system now located in <br />the property to be conveyed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be and it hereby is resolved as follows: <br />1. That the City Manager be and he hereby is authorized and directed to enter �pp7 <br />int6 an agreement with T. KENT MORRIS and HETTIE MORRIS embodying the above terms <br />and conditions. <br />2. That that certain deed signed by T. KENT 14ORRIS and HETTIE MORRIS, his wife, <br />conveying a portion of Lot 19, Block 15, Kensington Square to the City of Redwood <br />City be and it hereby is accepted by and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 7th day of March, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and <br />adoption <br />of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: <br />BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, <br />HOLMQUIST, <br />MORGAN, <br />SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />W. Councilman Britschgi moved <br />that the same amount be paid as the previous year, seconded by Councilman Morgan, <br />and carried. . <br />CALIFORNIA MISSION TRAILS SUBMITTED COPY OF SENATE BILL No. 1123 (Tenney) for the <br />restoration of the E1 Camino Real Market Bells along El Camino Real and urged the <br />Council to pass a resolution in favor of its passage at 1949 Session of the Calif- <br />ornia State Legislature. Councilman Granger offered resolution and moved adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried on roll call. <br />RE SO LUT I ON No. 681 <br />URGING THE PASSAGE OF SENATE BILL No. 1123 RESTORING MISSION BELLS ALONG <br />EL CAMINO REAL HIGHWAY. <br />RESOLVED by the Council ofthe CiW 6f Redwood City, that Senate Bill No.. <br />1123 introduced by Senator Tenny, adding•Sections 100.8 and 100.9 to and amend- <br />ing Section 101 of the Streets and Highways Code relating to Mission Bell High- flo <br />way Markers, and Making an appropriation therefore, be regularly passed by the <br />1949 Session of the California State Legislature. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to <br />Senator Harry L. Parkman and Assemblyman Richard J. Dolwig, urging them to lend <br />their support toward the passage of this bill. <br />The above Resolution duly introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City held on the 7th day of March, 1949 in the City Hall, <br />City of Redwood City, California. <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />
