Councilman Swift, seconded by•Council-Morgan, and carried.- 115 <br />TENTATIVE MAP, MINMAR-SUBDIVISION,•was-,q.pproved, subject to.following conditions recom- <br />mended by the Planning Commission, on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Coun <br />oilman Swift. Motion carried. 'n>. <br />i _ <br />1. That filing fee be paid. s a, <br />2. That a cul-de-sac be placed at the northerly end of Anamor Street. <br />3. That 25 feet be reserved for dedication along the northerly <br />boundary of the tract which may include the existing 18.5 feet <br />easement. <br />4. Meet all other requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance, <br />Councilman Morgan called -the attention of the Council to the fact that the Planning <br />Commission was engaged in working out a new subdivision ordinance at this time. His <br />thought was that the Council should keep this in mind when considering future sub- <br />divisions. <br />CITY MANAGER ADVISED THAT BUTCHER FIELD PARKING COMMITTEE had become inactive, and was of <br />the opinion the matter should be referred to the Planning Commission for future con- <br />sideration. Councilman Granger so moved, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />NON-RESIDENTS USING CITY DUMPS was discussed. City Manager Rolison stated people were <br />coming to the dumps without permits as allowed residents and stated further that <br />perhaps a scheduled charge might be worked out to cover such instances. Supervisor <br />Edmonds spoke on the subject and advised that no assistance could be expected from <br />the County. After discussion, it was agreed that something be worked out to post <br />sign of scheduled rates, the caretaker of the City Dumps to make collections to be <br />remitted to the City Treasurer. <br />MR. CHAS. MURRAY AND DR. BABCOCK APPEARED regarding abatement proceedings against certain <br />buildings on Broadway. He stated his own property located at 2065 to 2069 Broadway <br />had been kept in repair,and he wanted the assurance that his buildings would not be <br />included in abatement proceedings. Fire Inspector Drivon reported that main building <br />was in good repair, but that the small lean-to shed in the rear should be removed. <br />Building Inspector Duncan also reported new wiring had been installed, under pinning <br />was in good shape, etc. On motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, the Healthe Department was to be notified of the above and their recom- <br />mendation regarding the shed in the rear will be carried out. Motion carried. <br />COL. EDMONDS, SUPERVISOR, appeared as a citizen residing on Whipple Avenue regarding <br />traffic conditions at Whipple and El Camino Real, calling attention to the recent <br />death of a pedestrain at this point. Councilmen recognized the urgency of a traffic <br />signal and after discussion it was decided that City officials, together with Col. <br />Edmonds, would once more meet with Col. Skeggs of the Highway Commission in an <br />effort to get some action. Communication will be directed to the Highway Commission <br />regarding the contemplated re -alignment of E1 Camino Real to be followed by the con - <br />Terence referred to above. <br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE REQUESTED THE REAL ESTATECOMMITTEE to meet and appraise Lots 16 <br />311 and 17; Block 42, included in the Recreation Area condemnation suit. This was <br />agreeable to the Committee. <br />RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING ?149.76 from Unbudgeted Reserve to Fire Department, Capital out- <br />lay. This transger is necessary to pay the difference between the amount budgeted <br />and the actual cost of one ton truck power wagon recently purchased on bid. Coun- <br />cilman Granger offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried on roll call. <br />
