-"R E S O L U T I O N No. 611 <br />TRANSFERRING $149.76 FROM UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CAPITAL OUTLAY <br />WHEREAS, on the 15th day of March, 1948, a bid was received for a 1 -ton truck <br />power wagon, less trade-in allowance, in the amount.of $2,565.14; and <br />WHEREAS the sum of $2,650.00 was encumbered, at the end of the fiscal year for <br />the purchase of said 1 -ton truck power wagon on the basis of the bid received as <br />aforesaid; and <br />WHEREAS the price of said vehicle has increased and the present price thereof, <br />including trade. -in allowance, is now $2,799.76; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $149.76 be, and it is, hereby <br />ordered transferred from Unbudgeted Reserve to FIRE DEPARTMENT CAPITAL OUTLAY, <br />Account No. 411 -5 - <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 7th day of September, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S. WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF PROPERTY FOR ARMORY BUILDING passed August 2nd, 1948, <br />stipulated construction of the building must be commenced within one year. While <br />State officials expect to start construction of the Armory Building in the very <br />near future the State of California Department of Finance insisted on a condition of <br />building within a three year period. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by <br />Councilman Swift, amendment to Resolution No. 600 passed August 2nd, 1948 was <br />offered for adoption. Motion carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 612 <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION No. 600, ENTITLED "AUTHORIZING SALE OF PROPERTY <br />TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF Ali ARMORY FOR THE <br />NATIONAL GUARD" <br />WHEREAS Resolution No. 600, entitled "Authorizing Sale of Property to the <br />State of California for the Construction of an Armory for the Nation Guard1l adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Rdwood City on the 2nd day of August, 1948, pro- <br />vides that construction of a State Armory on the premises therein sold shall com- <br />mence within one (1) year from the date hereof; and <br />WHEREAS the Department of Finance of the State of California has required that <br />construction of the proposed armory commence within three (3) years instead of one <br />(1) year; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Paragraph 1 of said resolution be, and the <br />same is, hereby amended to reas as follows: <br />111. The State of California will commence construction of a State Armory <br />on the premises within three (3) years from the date hereof and will <br />thereafter prosecute such construction to completion with due diligence. <br />Upon failure to so commence and complete construction of such State <br />Armory, title shall revert to the grantor." <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City'at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 7th day of September, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution: <br />P� <br />I <br />
